The Tournament Managers/Coaches Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at the Slackwood Firehouse located at 21 Slack Ave. in Lawrence. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am. We should be done by 12:30. Parking is in the rear or on the right side of the building. The entrance to the meeting room is on the left under a red awning. Please do not walk through the truck room.
All teams must be represented at the meeting by a manager or coach. The preference is to have the manager and both coaches from all teams in attendance. Multiple teams should not be represented by one person (including the league president) unless that person is a rostered manager/coach for multiple teams. League presidents are strongly encouraged to attend.
This meeting is for 10s, 11s, 12s and 50/70 only. 7s, 8s, and 9s are welcome to attend to understand what is coming up in future years, but information regarding their tournaments will NOT be discussed.
All managers and coaches will be responsible for the content that is reviewed during the meeting whether they attend the meeting or not. “I wasn’t aware of that” is never a great response from a manager or coach when explaining something during a game that was covered in the meeting. Any manager/coach not attending the meeting should be fully briefed by the person representing the team. The presentation slides will be available following the meeting.
Topics to be covered include Expectations, Tournament Administration, Pre and Post Game Activities, Game Conduct, and Playing Rules. Tournament Draws will be conducted at the end of the meeting.
